The Alder Tree Charity Foundation was established in 2022 by the Alder Tree Family Office, which was founded in 2020. As a second-generation family office, we recognized the importance of having a dedicated philanthropic initiative to make a positive and lasting impact on society. Having been fortunate in many ways, we feel a deep responsibility to share this fortune, and supporting charitable causes is one of the ways we seek to give back.
Our foundation's approach is shaped by the collaborative efforts of the family. Together, we discuss and reflect on the causes we believe are most important and the ways we can best contribute. Decisions regarding the foundation's focus areas and initiatives are made collectively by the entire family, with the charity commission carrying out the plans. We believe that every euro earned through hard work should be used to make the greatest possible impact when giving it away, which is why we are dedicated to ensuring that our contributions create lasting value.

Rob is an independent member of the charity and serves as the chairman of the foundation. Together with the other board members, he has helped shape the foundation’s objectives and fully supports its mission. His passion for giving back is reflected in his past volunteer work, where he has dedicated time to making a positive impact on people and society, a cause that brings him great fulfillment. He takes pride in working alongside the board to ensure the charity creates meaningful change.
Joekie is a second-generation family member with a deep passion for helping others. After studying physiotherapy, she chose to further her impact by specializing in acupuncture. In addition, she has been a dedicated member of the Alder Tree Charity Commission since its foundation, using this platform to contribute to meaningful causes and support those in need.
Hans Peter is an independent member of Stichting Alder Tree Charity Fund and has been part of the Fund since its foundation. He strongly supports the objectives of the Fund, which are determined by the family. With 33 years of experience at KPMG, including 20 years as a partner, he brings valuable expertise to his role. Being part of a fantastic team and serving as a co-decision maker is a true privilege.
Heleen has a strong interest in philanthropy and the moral and ethical questions around giving; what makes an impact, why we give, and how to do it responsibly. She is looking to contribute to her family’s philanthropic vision and grateful for the inspiring individuals she meets along the way.
Johann is one of the founders of the charity and has been involved since its inception. He is committed to the foundation’s mission and plays an active role in supporting its objectives. With a strong dedication to making a positive impact, he works alongside the board to ensure the charity continues to achieve its goals and create meaningful change.
